Fabrics designed for our winters
At Audvik, every fabric is chosen for its performance as much as for its impact. Waterproofing, breathability, comfort, and durability: discover the technologies that make up our coats and find the one that suits your needs.
What is the difference between EcoStretch and EcoStretch Pro?
The EcoStretch offers an excellent balance between comfort and protection, with 10,000 mm waterproofing: ideal for everyday use. The EcoStretch Pro takes performance further, with 30,000 mm waterproofing and 40,000 g/m²/24 h breathability, to tackle the most rigorous conditions.
What is the difference between 10,000 mm and 30,000 mm waterproof ratings?
The higher this number, the more the fabric resists water pressure. 10,000 mm covers everyday rain, snow, and bad weather. 30,000 mm is designed for extreme conditions: heavy rain, abundant snow, prolonged exposure.

Fellex-Sorona® Bio-Warm Prime
Insulation designed for warmth, comfort and durability.
At Audvik, some of our coats are insulated with Fellex-Sorona® Bio-Warm Core, a new-generation 300 gsm synthetic insulation that combines thermal performance, lightness, and innovation. Its Sorona® fiber, partly developed from renewable plant-based resources and combined with recycled polyester, makes it our most responsible choice: it reduces the use of fossil raw materials without compromising performance.
This insulation effectively retains body heat even when temperatures drop, while remaining supple and comfortable to follow your daily movements. It maintains its effectiveness even in wet weather, dries quickly, and is highly compression-resistant, allowing it to maintain its insulating properties season after season.
Since 2026, Fellex-Sorona® Bio-Warm Core has also been the insulation used in the manufacture of our custom-made coats.
PrimaLoft® Black Insulation
Powerful warmth, even in the coldest winter.
At Audvik, we use PrimaLoft® Black as insulation in many of our winter coats to offer a balance of warmth, lightness, and performance. Made of extremely fine polyester microfibers, this synthetic insulation traps body heat to maintain a comfortable temperature even on the coldest days, and continues to provide excellent insulation even when exposed to moisture.
Our coats are designed with 200 gsm to 300 gsm of PrimaLoft® Black (with the exception of our mid-season coats), ideal insulation for facing harsh Quebec winters. Lightweight, compressible, and breathable, it allows excess heat and moisture to escape when you're on the move, while retaining its loft and insulating properties season after season, for reliable comfort over time.
A more responsible choice: several versions of PrimaLoft® Black are made from post-consumer recycled polyester fibers, helping to reduce the use of new raw materials, without compromising on performance.
Exkin® Air
Lightweight insulation that maximizes warmth.
The performance of a winter coat primarily depends on its insulation. This is why some Audvik coats were designed with Exkin® Air, a synthetic insulation developed to offer excellent protection against the cold while remaining lightweight, flexible, and comfortable. Its structure of fine polyester fibers creates numerous air pockets that trap body heat without adding excessive bulk to the coat.
Even in damp conditions, Exkin® Air retains its insulating capacity: its fibers absorb very little water and allow good air circulation, keeping you warm and dry in the snow and when moving from outdoors to indoors. Compression-resistant, they maintain their loft season after season, a guarantee of durability that extends the life of the coat.
Since 2024, Audvik no longer uses this insulation in its new productions, but some models still available on our website feature it.
