Visuel retraçant les 45 ans de la marque de manteaux d'hiver Audvik.

Forty-five years of conviction

Since 1979, Audvik has existed for one simple reason: there’s a better way to experience winter.

Forty-five years. That’s a long time for a brand. Especially in an industry where trends move at a relentless pace, production continues to move farther away, and manufacturing locally has become a real challenge.

And yet, we’re still here. Hands at work in the heart of Chabanel, Montreal’s textile district, designing, cutting and sewing with the same conviction: to do things well, and to make them last.

The intuition

From the very beginning, one principle has guided every decision we make: every coat we create should protect you from winter without asking you to compromise.

No compromise on warmth. No compromise on aesthetics. No compromise on longevity. You deserve clothing that truly lives up to its promise, season after season.

For three decades, the founders carried this principle into every decision. Every stitch. Every material. Every detail.

A new lease of life

Sophie Boyer took over Audvik in 2012. A former athlete, she understands high standards. She looked at the brand and asked herself a simple question: can we improve it while remaining true to its intention?

The answer was yes. But only by deepening, not by changing.

She established entirely local production in Montreal, Canada. She incorporated recycled materials, not because it was trendy, but because durability and quality are inseparable. A durable coat is a coat that ages well. A coat that ages well must be designed with excellence.

The conviction hasn't changed. It has been refined.

Today and tomorrow

Forty-five years. It’s rare for a clothing brand to last that long.

Since 1979, Audvik has built its reputation as a premium Canadian outerwear brand, rooted in Montréal and shaped by the realities of Canadian winters. Our approach has always been simple: create exceptional coats designed to perform, last, and be worn for years to come.

Choosing an Audvik coat means choosing long-term value. A coat designed to carry you through fifteen winters, not three. A brand that will still be here to repair it. Canadian craftsmanship over mass production. Thoughtful design over fleeting trends.

For forty-five years, this philosophy has guided Audvik through changing economies, evolving styles, and an industry built around constant consumption. We chose a different path. We still do.

We believe in making fewer things, making them better, and making them to last.
