For more than forty-five years, we have designed our coats to accompany you for years, then decades. Not as a fleeting trend, but as a piece that develops a patina, gains character, and becomes your coat. The coat for your winters.
This is why we offer a guarantee that honors this promise. It doesn't just cover manufacturing defects. It affirms our absolute confidence in the expertise of our artisans in Montreal, in the durability of our materials, and in the timelessness of our designs.
What our warranty covers
Your Audvik coat is guaranteed against all manufacturing defects for ten years from the date of purchase.
This includes:
- Seams
- Zippers
- Snaps
- Outer fabrics
- Insulation
This warranty applies for the normal lifespan of the coat. If a seam comes undone, a zipper fails, or a snap breaks, we will repair or replace it.
But let's be honest: an Audvik coat can last much longer than ten years. Much longer. We see coats worn for two, three decades, and they keep going. The warranty covers manufacturing defects, not the limits of your ambition for your coat.
Our warranty does not cover
We are clear about what is not covered by the warranty.
If your coat is torn due to an accident, we do not cover it, but we can repair it (see below). If you seriously neglect it, if it naturally wears out after years of intense wear, this is not covered by the warranty. If the colors fade over time, that's the life of the fabric, not a manufacturing defect.
We also do not cover damage due to poor maintenance or prolonged extreme exposure to the elements.
BEFORE SENDING US YOUR COAT
For us to properly repair your coat, it must arrive freshly washed. This allows us to see the problem clearly and perform work we are proud of.
It is also a matter of respect for our seamstresses, who handle each coat by hand and deserve to work in a clean and safe environment.
If the coat does not arrive washed, we will apply a cleaning fee of $50 plus tax, before beginning the repair.
Shipping costs to our workshop are your responsibility. Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for the repair, plus return shipping.
OUT OF WARRANTY REPAIRS
Beyond the ten-year warranty, we continue to repair your coats, subject to our team's approval.
If a button breaks, if an accidental tear occurs, or if a zipper gives out, we will repair or replace the parts at your expense.
This is our way of saying that an Audvik coat doesn't stop at ten years. It continues as long as you want to wear it.
AMENDMENTS AND ADDITIONS
You can also ask us to add details to your coat: snaps on the hood, cut modifications, reinforcements in specific places.
Please note that if we modify your coat, it can no longer be refunded or exchanged.

You also have the option of visiting our Chabanel workshop in Montreal to have your jacket repaired in person or simply speak with our team about its condition.
It's often the fastest option, and it's also a great opportunity to see where your jacket was made.
