Founded in 1979 in a village in the Montérégie region by two outdoor enthusiasts, Audvik means "quality of life" in Inuit legend. These words have become a mantra and the inspiration behind every coat we create. Born from a passion for the outdoors and its vast spaces, we constantly strive to share this love we cultivate for winter. With the changing seasons, the brand builds an ever-intact reputation: high-quality, innovative, and very warm clothing, perfect for facing our local climate.
In 2012, Sophie Boyer, now president of Audvik and a former high-level athlete, acquired the Quebec company. Having been part of the Quebec cross-country skiing team, she already knew a great deal about the needs related to outdoor clothing. Wanting to combine her two passions for business and sport, she noticed a gap in the market for durable and versatile coats offering the best quality for those seeking to explore winter pleasures.
It was by wanting to combine style, warmth and environmental responsibility that Sophie, with the help of her mother in product design, set herself the mission of infusing her passion and energy to continue creating durable Canadian coats that have accompanied you on your winter adventures for 40 years.
