At FOSFO, sustainability isn't just a buzzword we slap on a label to look good. It's a game we play all out, every day, because we love winter too much to let it slip away.
Why fishing nets? Because the oceans are tired of bearing their weight.
Every year, tons of abandoned fishing nets, "ghost nets," drift in the oceans. They trap wildlife and destroy entire ecosystems.
We give them a second life: these nets become the fabric for your puffer jackets, and every jacket we make means a few fewer nets lying on the ocean floor.
Just one net equals 5 padded jackets. The net becomes yarn, the yarn becomes fabric, and thanks to Ripstop technology, this fabric is waterproof, tear-resistant, flexible, and ready for any Quebec winter.

ETHICAL MANUFACTURING
Made with respect, from start to finish
For us, an eco-friendly garment that comes from a factory where people are mistreated just doesn't make sense. That's why all our partner factories are BSCI certified, a code that governs working conditions, reasonable hours, and fair wages throughout the supply chain.
And because a certificate is just a piece of paper, our team visits partner factories several times a year to ensure that everything is truly happening as promised.
Zero PFAS, in all our parts
PFAS, also known as "forever chemicals," are chemical substances used to make certain textiles waterproof or water-repellent. However, they hardly ever degrade in the environment (or in your body). We avoid them completely: our entire collection is certified PFAS-free, from start to finish.
CARDIO COLLECTION: POST-CONSUMER RECYCLED NYLON AND POLYESTER
Our Cardio collection is made from post-consumer recycled nylon and polyester. This means that the raw material comes from already used products, such as plastic bottles or old textiles, rather than being extracted from new petroleum.
The result: less waste, fewer virgin resources used, and technical performance that's just as good as new, breathable, durable, and ready for your most intense workouts.
OUR CERTIFICATIONS
RDS (Responsible Down Standard)
The down in our puffer jackets comes from animals that have not suffered any unnecessary harm, from the beginning to the end of the supply chain.
GRS (Global Recycled Standard)
Guarantees that recycled content is genuine, and that production meets strict social and environmental standards. We are GRS certified for almost our entire collection.
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)
For our fleece collection, we use organic cotton, grown without prohibited substances for at least 3 years. This certification covers the entire chain, from farm to finished product.
